Imperial Tigers (Imperial, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), 45-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Imperial upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Tigers host Calexico (Calexico, CA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Imperial Valley bout on Thursday, February 3. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Calexico lost 51-50 in their recent non-league bout against Chula Vista (Chula Vista, CA)

Next up, the Foothillers clash with the Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Grossmont will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Monarchs go into the bout with a 10-14 record after their 76-23 league loss to Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA).
