Illinois High School Basketball - Lake Forest Academy edges Antioch

January 28, 2023: Lake Forest, IL 60045

The Lake Forest Academy Caxys (Lake Forest, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Antioch Sequoits (Antioch, IL), 54-50 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Caxys (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Latin (Chicago, IL). The Romans go into the Independent School test with a 14-11 record. In their last test, Latin was tipped by Francis W. Parker (Chicago, IL), 68-46, in a league test.

The Sequoits now own a 12-11 record. They play next when they host Grayslake Central for a Northern Lake County test on Tuesday, January 31. Antioch will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 56-33 league win over Grant Community (Fox Lake, IL). The Rams record now stands at 21-3.
