Bellmont Braves (Decatur, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Leo Lions (Leo, IN), 80-75 in a league bout.

With the win, Bellmont upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Braves host East Noble (Kendallville, IN) to clash with the Knights in a Northeast 8 bout on Thursday, February 2. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-13. East Noble lost 77-41 in their recent league bout against Norwell (Ossian, IN)

Next up, the Lions clash with the DeKalb Barons (Waterloo, IN) in a Northeast 8 bout, on Thursday, February 2. Leo will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Barons go into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 38-37 league loss to Huntington North (Huntington, IN).
