In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Boyd County Lions basketball team scored a decisive 101-50 triumph over the West Carter Comets.
In their next game, the Lions face the Fairview Eagles (Ashland, KY) in a District 64 match, on Thursday, February 2. Boyd County will attempt to move on its 15-3 season record.
With the defeat, West Carter moves to 3-14 on the year. The Comets travel to Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY) to face the Lions in a District 62 match on Tuesday, January 31. The Lions enter the match with a record of 2-16.
