The Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL) basketball nipped the host Brooks Eagles (Chicago, IL), 64-60 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (11-10) will now prepare for their test against Thornridge (Dolton, IL). The Falcons go into the Southland test with a 6-18 record. In their last test, Thornridge was tipped by Crete-Monee (Crete, IL), 54-48, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 10-11 record. They play next when they host Taft for a non-league test on Wednesday, February 1. Brooks will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 65-58 non-league win over Yorkville Christian (Yorkville, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 18-8.
