Canton Little Giants (Canton, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), 51-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Canton upgrades its record to 5-18 on the season. The Little Giants host Dunlap (Dunlap, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a Mid-Illini bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 12-13. Dunlap lost 81-54 in their recent non-league bout against East Moline United (East Moline, IL)

Next up, the Maple Leafs clash with the Galesburg Silver Streaks (Galesburg, IL) in a Western Big 6 bout, on Friday, February 3. Geneseo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-21 season record. The Silver Streaks go into the bout with a 7-20 record after their 54-41 non-league loss to Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL).
