In Saturday's league outing, the Elkton/Lake Benton Elks (Elkton, SD) basketball squad edged the visiting Great Plains Lutheran Panthers (Watertown, SD), by a count of 56-51.

The Elks (5-6) will now prepare for their outing against DeSmet (DeSmet, SD). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 12-2 record. In their last outing, DeSmet held off Colman-Egan (Colman, SD), 88-21, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Wilmot for a non-league outing on Friday, February 3.
