Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Loogootee Lions (Loogootee, IN) and the visiting Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats (Evansville, IN), saw Loogootee's basketball squad hold off Evansville Mater Dei by a tally of 43-37.
With the victory, Loogootee improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Orleans (Orleans, IN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 14-2. Orleans lost 51-40 in their recent non-league challenge against North Daviess (Elnora, IN)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Forest Park Rangers (Ferdinand, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Evansville Mater Dei will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record.
