Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Largo Lions (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the visiting Freedom Eagles (Woodbridge, VA), saw Largo's basketball squad overcome Freedom by a tally of 96-85.

With the victory, Largo improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Friendly (Fort Washington, MD) to confront the Patriots in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 3-13. Friendly lost 63-62 in their recent league challenge against Surrattsville (Clinton, MD)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Hylton Bulldogs (Woodbridge, VA) in a Eastern challenge, on Friday, February 3. Freedom will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-16 record after their 62-51 league loss to Woodbridge (Woodbridge, VA).
