The Half Moon Bay Cougars basketball team (Half Moon Bay, CA), was overwhelmed 76-47 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Menlo-Atherton Bears (Atherton, CA)

The Bears now possess a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host San Mateo for a Peninsula - South battle on Wednesday, February 1.

The Cougars (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against South San Francisco (South San Francisco, CA). The Warriors come into the Peninsula - North battle with a 11-7 record. In their last battle, South San Francisco was overwhelmed by Westmoor (Daly City, CA), 52-40, in a league battle.
