In Saturday's non-league outing, the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM) basketball squad edged the host Hot Springs Tigers (Truth or Consequences, NM), by a count of 54-47.
The Desert Warriors (6-14) will now prepare for their outing against Silver (Silver City, NM). The Fighting Colts go into the 4A District 3 outing with a 11-8 record. In their last outing, Silver held off Cobre (Bayard, NM), 74-42, in a non-league outing.
The Tigers now hold a 12-7 record. They play next when they host Cobre for a 3A District 3 outing on Tuesday, January 31. Hot Springs will clash with a Indians squad coming off a 74-42 non-league loss to Silver (Silver City, NM). The Indians record now stands at 7-13.
