In Saturday's league game, the host Howell Rebels basketball team scored a good 61-49 triumph over the Middletown North Lions.
In their next game, the Rebels face the Christian Brothers Academy Colts (Lincroft, NJ) in a Shore A - North game, on Tuesday, January 31. Howell will attempt to move on its 6-13 season record. The Colts enter the game with a 10-5 record after their 51-41 non-league win over Point Pleasant Boro (Point Pleasant, NJ).
With the defeat, Middletown North moves to 3-13 on the year. The Lions travel to Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ) to face the Spartans in a non-league game on Thursday, February 2. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 12-5.
