In Saturday's non-league outing, the Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA) basketball squad felled the visiting Interboro Buccaneers (Prospect Park, PA), by a margin of 49-39.

The Spartans (7-12) will now prepare for their outing against Upper Moreland (Willow Grove, PA). The Bears go into the Suburban One - American outing with a 11-7 record. In their last outing, Upper Moreland was beaten by William Tennent (Warminster, PA), 72-69, in a league outing.

The Buccaneers now own a 1-15 record. They play next when they travel to Academy Park for a Delaware Valley match on Tuesday, January 31. Interboro will face a Knights team coming off a 107-72 non-league loss to Williamsport (Williamsport, PA). The Knights record now stands at 3-13.
