In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Joplin Eagles basketball team scored a good 67-56 triumph over the St. James Academy Thunder.
In their next game, the Eagles face the Carl Junction Bulldogs (Carl Junction, MO) in a Central Ozarks game, on Tuesday, January 31. Joplin will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 6-7 record after their 61-45 non-league win over Lebanon (Lebanon, MO).
With the defeat, St. James Academy moves to 11-3 on the year. The Thunder travel to Rockhurst (Kansas City, MO) to face the Hawklets in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 31.
