The North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) basketball nipped the host Milton Eagles (Milton, GA), 54-50 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Vikings (19-1) will now prepare for their test against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks go into the 3A/4A Conference 60 test with a 2-17 record. In their last test, West Mecklenburg was tipped by Hough (Cornelius, NC), 65-32, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 16-6 record. They play next when they host West Forsyth for a AAAAAAA Region 6 test on Tuesday, January 31. Milton will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 62-53 league win over Forsyth Central (Cumming, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 8-14.
