The Simon Kenton Pioneers basketball team (Independence, KY), was overwhelmed 71-46 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Anderson County Bearcats (Lawrenceburg, KY)
The Bearcats now possess a 19-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lexington Catholic for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 2.
The Pioneers (11-10) will now prepare for their battle against Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 16-8 record. In their last battle, Montgomery County was overwhelmed by George Rogers Clark (Winchester, KY), 67-57, in a league battle.
