The Tishomingo County Braves (Iuka, MS) basketball nipped the visiting Blue Mountain Cougars (Blue Mountain, MS), 55-49 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Braves (17-1) will now prepare for their test against Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS). The Rockets go into the non-league test with a 22-3 record. In their last test, Neshoba Central got by Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS), 68-58, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 18-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ashland for a 1A Region 3 test on Tuesday, January 31. Blue Mountain will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 50-8 league win over Coldwater (Coldwater, MS). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-7.
