Rosepine Eagles (Rosepine, LA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs (Gibsland, LA), 47-25 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Rosepine upgrades its record to 23-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to Pickering (Leesville, LA) to play the Red Devils in a 2A District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 1-21. Pickering lost 61-23 in their recent league bout against Holy Savior Menard (Alexandria, LA)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Homer Pelicans (Homer, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Gibsland-Coleman will attempt to upgrade on its 25-6 season record. The Pelicans go into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 71-38 league win over Plain Dealing (Plain Dealing, LA).
