West Virginia High School Basketball - St. Joseph Central winner over Hoover

January 28, 2023: Huntington, WV 25701

In Saturday's non-league outing, the St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV) basketball squad felled the visiting Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV), by a margin of 63-55.

The Irish (5-10) will now prepare for their outing against Capital (Charleston, WV). The Cougars go into the non-league outing with a 0-16 record. In their last outing, Capital was beaten by Riverside (Belle, WV), 61-34, in a league outing.

The Huskies now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to Scott for a Cardinal outing on Monday, January 30. Hoover will encounter a Skyhawks squad coming off a 67-61 league loss to Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV). The Skyhawks record now stands at 5-11.
