Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the West Branch Warriors (Beloit, OH) and the visiting Howland Tigers (Warren, OH), saw West Branch's basketball squad hold off Howland by a tally of 53-52.

With the win, West Branch advances its record to 8-10 on the season. The Warriors host Salem (Salem, OH) to encounter the Quakers in a Eastern Buckeye test on Wednesday, February 1. The Quakers go into the test with a record of 16-2. Salem won 44-32 in their recent non-league test against Ursuline (Youngstown, OH)

The Tigers now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Canfield for a All-American test on Saturday, February 4.
