Kentucky High School Basketball - Newport Central Catholic tops Ludlow

Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (Newport, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Ludlow Panthers (Ludlow, KY), 66-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Newport Central Catholic upgrades its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Thoroughbreds travel to Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 10-8.

Next up, the Panthers play the Dixie Heights Colonels (Edgewood, KY) in a District 34 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Ludlow will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record.
