Connecticut High School Basketball - Plainfield knocked off by Waterford

The Waterford Lancers basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Plainfield Panthers to 27 in the Lancers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Lancers now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fitch for a Eastern Connecticut - 2 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Waterford will battle a Falcons team coming off a 68-49 non-league loss to Valley Regional (Deep River, CT). The Falcons record now stands at 9-5.
The Panthers (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT). The Saints enter the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, St. Bernard ran past Wheeler (North Stonington, CT), 31-26, in a league match.
