The Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) basketball knocked off the host Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IL), 54-45 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Tigers (16-5) will now prepare for their test against Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL). The Panthers go into the Three Rivers - West test with a 10-13 record. In their last test, Erie-Prophetstown went down by Morrison (Morrison, IL), 40-28, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 22-3 record. They play next when they host Mendota for a Three Rivers - East test on Monday, January 30. Princeton will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 47-21 non-league loss to Amboy (Amboy, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 5-20.
