In Saturday's league match, the host South Umpqua Lancers basketball team scored a good 41-21 triumph over the Rogue River Chieftains.
In their next game, the Lancers meet the Sutherlin Bulldogs (Sutherlin, OR) in a 3A Far West match, on Monday, January 30. South Umpqua will attempt to move on its 8-13 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 19-2 record after their 52-41 league win over Lakeview (Lakeview, OR).
