Penn Wood Patriots (Lansdowne, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds (Bensalem, PA), 62-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Penn Wood upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to Chichester (Boothwyn, PA) to clash with the Eagles in a bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Chichester lost 47-36 in their recent non-league bout against Henderson (West Chester, PA)

Next up, the Firebirds clash with the Hatboro-Horsham Hatters (Horsham, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Holy Ghost Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record.
