The Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds (Mosca, CO) basketball crushed the visiting Aguilar Wildcats (Aguilar, CO), 57-32 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Thunderbirds now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Creede for a 1A Southern Peaks bout on Friday, January 31. Sangre de Cristo will play a Miners team coming off a 59-30 league win over Moffat (Moffat, CO). The Miners record now stands at 4-9.
With the loss, Aguilar falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Primero (Weston, CO) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A Fishers Peak bout on Thursday, February 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 13-1.
