In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Montevallo Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 48-47 win over the Bessemer City Tigers.

The Bulldogs (16-12) will now prepare for their contest against St. Clair County (Odenville, AL). The Fighting Saints come into the non-league contest with a 8-15 record.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Hueytown Golden Gophers (Hueytown, AL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. Bessemer City will attempt to better on its 5-21 season record.
