The Johnston Speedboys (Bessemer, MI) basketball edged the visiting Jeffers Jets (Painesdale, MI), 42-37 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Speedboys now possess a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Houghton for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 30. Johnston will play a Gremlins team coming off a 83-77 non-league loss to Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI). The Gremlins record now stands at 12-3.
