Prairie Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Cedar Falls Tigers (Cedar Falls, IA), 71-70 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Prairie upgrades its record to 10-2 on the year. The Hawks travel to Linn-Mar (Marion, IA) to face the Lions in a Mississippi Valley match on Friday, February 7. The Lions enter the match with a record of 16-3.
The Tigers now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waterloo West for a non-league match on Friday, January 31.
