The Centennial Chargers (Champaign, IL) basketball edged the visiting Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL), 64-58 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Chargers now possess a 11-10 record. They play next when they host Danville for a Big Twelve bout on Friday, January 31. Centennial will play a Vikings team coming off a 71-32 non-league loss to Pike (Indianapolis, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 6-13.
With the loss, Lanphier falls to 13-9 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to play the Cyclones in a Central State Eight bout on Saturday, February 1. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 11-9.
