The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA) and the visiting DeQuincy Tigers (DeQuincy, LA), observed Sulphur's basketball team overwhelm DeQuincy by a margin of 72-38.

The Golden Tors (24-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA). The Broncos come into the 5A District 3 challenge with a 11-14 record. In their last challenge, Sam Houston was trounced by Barbe (Lake Charles, LA), 59-50, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the East Beauregard Trojans (DeRidder, LA) in a 2A District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 31. DeQuincy will attempt to better on its 8-10 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 14-11 record after their 80-52 league loss to Rosepine (Rosepine, LA).
