The Fairbury Jeffs basketball squad (Fairbury, NE), was crushed 65-41 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE)

With the victory, Sandy Creek advances its record to 10-6 on the year. The Cougars travel to Sutton (Sutton, NE) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 30. The Mustangs enter the battle with a record of 14-3. Sutton won 54-49 in their recent non-league battle against Milford (Milford, NE)

The Jeffs now own a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Johnson County Central for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 30. Fairbury will meet a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 69-41 non-league win over Falls City (Falls City, NE). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 12-5.
