The Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) basketball edged the host Glasgow Scotties (Glasgow, KY), 52-46 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 7-12 record. They play next when they host Green County for a non-league bout on Friday, January 31. Metcalfe County will play a Dragons team coming off a 76-62 league win over Larue County (Hodgenville, KY). The Dragons record now stands at 15-2.
With the loss, Glasgow falls to 3-15 on the campaign. The Scotties travel to Clinton County (Albany, KY) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 31. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 22-1. Clinton County won 71-61 in their recent non-league bout against Wayne County (Monticello, KY)
