Illinois High School Basketball - Lake Forest Academy nips Highland Park

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Lake Forest Academy Caxys basketball team scored a close 54-47 triumph over the Highland Park Giants.
The Caxys (16-5) will now prepare for their contest against La Lumiere Blue (La Porte, IN). The Lakers go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, La Lumiere Blue nipped Victory Christian Academy (Valparaiso, IN), 87-59, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Giants battle the Niles North Vikings (Skokie, IL) in a Central Suburban - North contest, on Friday, January 31. Highland Park will attempt to better on its 14-7 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 19-5 record after their 66-56 non-league win over Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL).
