The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Hoxie Indians (Hoxie, KS) and the host Russell Broncos (Russell, KS), observed Hoxie's basketball team overcome Russell by a margin of 48-36.

The Indians (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Quinter (Quinter, KS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Quinter defeated Golden Plains (Rexford, KS), 61-34, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Broncos battle the Smoky Valley Vikings (Lindsborg, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Russell will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 52-30 non-league loss to Trinity (Hutchinson, KS).
