The Kewanee Boilermakers basketball squad (Kewanee, IL), was nudged 50-49 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL)
With the victory, Ottawa advances its record to 7-9 on the year. The Pirates host Morris (Morris, IL) to meet the Redskins in a Interstate Eight battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Redskins enter the battle with a record of 8-15. Morris lost 50-47 in their recent non-league battle against Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL)
The Boilermakers now own a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Princeton for a Three Rivers - East battle on Friday, January 31. Kewanee will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 67-60 non-league win over Riverdale (Port Byron, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 10-12.
