The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lafayette Fighting Irish (St. Joseph, MO) and the visiting Marysville Bulldogs (Marysville, KS), observed Lafayette's basketball team overwhelm Marysville by a margin of 50-23.
The Fighting Irish (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Troy (Troy, KS). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Troy was trounced by Rock Creek (St. George, KS), 78-67, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Jefferson West Tigers (Meriden, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Marysville will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 62-50 league loss to Perry-Lecompton (Perry, KS).
