Next, the Matador encounter the Antelope Rams (Wellton, AZ) in a 1A West test, on Thursday, January 30. Maryvale Prep will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Rams come into the test with a 9-7 record after their 71-61 non-league loss to St. John Paul II Catholic (Avondale, AZ).

The Pumas (2-11) will now prepare for their test against Desert Heights Prep (Glendale, AZ). The Yote come into the 1A West test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Desert Heights Prep was routed by Anthem Prep (Anthem, AZ), 53-47, in a league test.
