Colorado High School Basketball - Yuma nips Merino

January 28, 2025: Yuma, CO 80759

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Yuma Outlaws basketball team scored a close 48-42 win over the Merino Rams.

The Outlaws (12-2) will now prepare for their contest against Frontier Academy (Greeley, CO). The Wolverines come into the 3A Patriot contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Frontier Academy was tipped by Highland (Ault, CO), 85-49, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Rams battle the Caliche Buffaloes (Iliff, CO) in a 1A Lower Platte contest, on Friday, January 31. Merino will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Buffaloes come into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 69-51 non-league loss to Peetz (Peetz, CO).
