Louisiana High School Basketball - Southside fells Northwest

The Southside Sharks basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Northwest Raiders to 48 in the Sharks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Sharks now have a 17-13 record. They play next when they host Lafayette for a 5A District 3 game on Friday, January 31. Southside will confront a Lions team coming off a 48-47 non-league loss to Abbeville (Abbeville, LA). The Lions record now stands at 16-13.
With the loss, Northwest falls to 13-10 on the campaign. The Raiders host Opelousas (Opelousas, LA) to confront the Tigers in a non-league game on Saturday, February 1. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 13-4.
