Louisiana High School Basketball - Opelousas Catholic holds off Westminster Academy

The Opelousas Catholic Vikings basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host Westminster Academy Crusaders to 58 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.
The Vikings now possess a 8-10 record. They play next when they host St. Edmund for a 1A District 5 game on Wednesday, January 29. Opelousas Catholic will confront a Fighting Blue Jays team coming off a 52-32 league win over Berchmans Academy (Grand Coteau, LA). The Fighting Blue Jays record now stands at 13-10.
With the loss, Westminster Academy falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Berwick (Berwick, LA) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 15-10.
