The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix (North Charleston, SC) and the host Scott's Branch Eagles (Summerton, SC), observed Palmetto Scholars Academy's basketball team edge Scott's Branch by a score of 51-48.

The Phoenix (4-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Baptist Hill (Hollywood, SC). The Bobcats come into the A Region 5 challenge with a 8-11 record. In their last challenge, Baptist Hill was tipped by Military Magnet Academy (North Charleston, SC), 65-55, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Military Magnet Academy Eagles (North Charleston, SC) in a A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Scott's Branch will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 63-46 league win over Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood, SC).
