In Tuesday's non-league test, the Southern Tornadoes (Racine, OH) basketball squad knocked off the host Wirt County Tigers (Elizabeth, WV), by a score of 57-40.

Next, the Tornadoes encounter the Wahama White Falcons (Mason, WV) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, January 29. Southern will attempt to improve on its 11-3 season record.

The Tigers (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Gilmer County (Glenville, WV). The Titans come into the non-league test with a 3-11 record. In their last test, Gilmer County beat Roane County (Spencer, WV), 71-61, in a league test.
