The New Castle Hurricanes basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host Blackhawk Cougars to 19 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hurricanes now possess a 1-0 record.

With the loss, Blackhawk falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Monday, February 3. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 0-0.
