In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Academy of the Holy Names basketball team scored a big 56-28 triumph over the Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks.

The (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Voorheesville (Voorheesville, NY). The Blackbirds go into the Section 2 Colonial contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Voorheesville was trounced by Schalmont (Schenectady, NY), 62-53, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Blue Streaks confront the Guilderland Flying Dutchmen (Guilderland Center, NY) in a Section 2 Suburban battle, on Friday, January 31. Saratoga Springs will attempt to advance on its 1-14 season record. The Flying Dutchmen enter the battle with a 7-6 record after their 50-46 league loss to Ballston Spa (Ballston Spa, NY).
