The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Chowchilla Tribe (Chowchilla, CA) and the host Liberty Hawks (Madera, CA), observed Chowchilla's basketball team knock off Liberty by a score of 39-24.

The Tribe (11-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Fresno Christian (Fresno, CA). The Eagles come into the Northwest Sequoia challenge with a 10-11 record. In their last challenge, Fresno Christian was knocked off by Sierra (Tollhouse, CA), 68-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Minarets Mustangs (O'Neals, CA) in a Northwest Sequoia challenge, on Friday, January 31. Liberty will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 101-10 league loss to Caruthers (Caruthers, CA).
