Illinois High School Basketball - Clifton Central toppled by Manteno

Manteno Panthers (Manteno, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL), 55-35 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Manteno upgrades its record to 19-4 on the year. The Panthers travel to Lisle (Lisle, IL) to face the Lions in a Illinois Central 8 match on Thursday, January 30. The Lions enter the match with a record of 8-16. Lisle won 41-31 in their recent league match against Peotone (Peotone, IL)

The Comets now sport a 16-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tri-Point for a River Valley match on Thursday, January 30. Clifton Central will face a Chargers squad coming off a 53-50 non-league win over Flanagan/Woodland (Flanagan, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 16-5.
