Council Grove Braves (Council Grove, KS) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Santa Fe Trail Chargers (Carbondale, KS), 38-25 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Council Grove upgrades its record to 3-9 on the year. The Braves host Marion (Marion, KS) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Friday, January 31. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 9-4. Marion won 46-23 in their recent league match against Ell-Saline (Brookville, KS)

The Chargers now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Iola for a Pioneer match on Thursday, January 30. Santa Fe Trail will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 58-42 non-league win over St. Paul (St. Paul, KS). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-5.
