The Gibbs Eagles basketball squad (Corryton, TN), was crushed 49-21 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cumberland Gap Panthers (Cumberland Gap, TN)
With the victory, Cumberland Gap advances its record to 9-7 on the year. The Panthers host Clinton (Clinton, TN) to meet the Dragons in a 3A District 4 battle on Friday, January 31. The Dragons enter the battle with a record of 5-12.
The Eagles now own a 5-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Scott for a 3A District 4 battle on Friday, January 31. Gibbs will play a Highlanders team coming off a 59-54 league loss to Anderson County (Clinton, TN). The Highlanders record now stands at 14-6.
