In Tuesday's league test, the Homer Pelicans (Homer, LA) basketball squad defeated the host Union Parish Farmers (Farmerville, LA), by a score of 39-31.
Next, the Pelicans clash with the Arcadia Hornets (Arcadia, LA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, January 30. Homer will attempt to improve on its 14-8 season record. The Hornets come into the test with a 18-3 record after their 55-17 league win over Jonesboro-Hodge (Jonesboro, LA).
The Farmers (14-10) will now prepare for their test against Carroll (Monroe, LA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 9-13 record. In their last test, Carroll overcame Bastrop (Bastrop, LA), 43-40, in a league test.
